Spark Plugs

Q: What kind of sparkplugs are best fitted , Golden Lodge ....? (which type?) or champions.

A: The really best plugs are the NGK ones (BP7ES or if you want resistor plugs BPR7ES). Fit an electronic ignition module while retaining the contact breaker points. It will transform the car performance and it will minimize ignition maintenance. After nearly 10 years I still have the same points on my Fulvia. - Andrea -

Below is a list of spark plugs taken from the Fulvia Technical Data Manual. This original Lancia list gives the type numbers for the Champion, Bosch, Lodge and Marelli types. NGK Germany has provided the NGK equivalents, which I have added.

If both BP6ES and BP7ES are listed, NGK recommends to try heat range 7 first. In case of soot fouling change to heat range 6.
