There is a little tapered oiler that sprays oil onto the crankshaft gear. When changing the timing chain it is very easy to shear this oiler off. This will reduce oil pressure dramatically. The oiler is hard to change, so be careful. In one of my two Fulvias (acquired more than 10 years ago) the oiler was missing when I bought it. The oil pressure readings were the same in both cars and still remain the same. I agree though that one should be careful not to damage the oiler. |
